NJ Recreation, Activities, Things to Do for Teens in NJ

Area Ys, JCCs and community Recreation Departments frequently offer teen space, exclusive activities for teens and teen nights featuring sports, games, music or other recreation and special events. Leaders Development Programs

    Programs for teens focus on fun while developing skills and confidence to become future leaders. Programs include Leaders Club, Youth & Government, Model UN, Debate, Teen Nights, Trips LIT/CIT camp and Achievers (in partnership with the Fanwood/Scotch Plains and Plainfield YMCA for minority youth).

Leaders Club Y Service Corps
    Grades 6-12 have an opportunity to develop leadership skills through participation in meetings, social events and community service projects.

    High school teens act as representatives from international countries and prepare for annual debate in Hershey, PA, with over 600 other students. Program runs Sept.-Jan.
